Spring cleaning your living space? Interior Stylist Kerrie-Ann Jones shows us three easy styling tips to refresh your space by adding this season’s colour palette, and accessorising with different shapes & sizes. As a former Real Living Magazine style editor, Kerrie-Ann has a passion of sharing her knowledge in the interiors space, so we've lined up plenty of style tips this season that you can use throughout your home.

TIP 1: Repeat Colours in Various Ways

Apart from choosing your favourite colour, another easy place to start your room’s colour palette is your wall art. Drawing colour inspiration from this focal point will guide you to use these colours in various accessories including the cushions, vases, throws and more. This will create a cohesive look in the room.

TIP 2: Style your couch with different sizes, shapes and textures

Styling your couch is the perfect opportunity to play with different shapes and sizes to add some interest. Start with large size cushions on the outside, then work in with smaller cushions. Make sure you’re sticking with your chosen colour palette to ensure you don’t stray too far.

TIP 3: Create a vignette to style your sideboard

A popular question we get asked is ‘How should I style my sideboard?’ Our rule of thumb: imagine creating a three-dimensional triangle, by starting with the artwork as your focal point, and then arranging décor & accessories around it. The beauty of this is that it is versatile and you can change it up as often as you like.
