Wash before wear
Our two bamboo blends have slightly different washing instructions, however both need to be washed before you pop them on your bed. This makes sure any irritants or dust are removed from the material so you can start getting an soothing night’s sleep straightaway.
How and when to wash
To reap the benefits of your bamboo bedlinen for years to come, it’s important to pay attention to the temperature of your wash. Our silky Bamboo Cotton does best at a slightly cooler temperature (30°) and can be machine or hand-washed. Bamboo Linen is better off at 40°, to keep its slightly textured finish and soft feel. Bamboo Linen can also be either hand or machine washed. Our biggest tip? Avoid the bleach!
Drying and ironing
Make sure you get your sheets out of the wash straight away – you don’t want to be ironing just as you’re getting ready for bed! Bamboo blend sheets can’t be tumble dried, so make sure you get your wash done in the morning to ensure you have plenty of time to hang your sheets to dry in the shade. If you love that crisp finish, you can iron your bedlinen with a warm iron, while they’re inside out.
Quick care guide:
- Wash prior to using.
- Bamboo Linen: Warm hand or machine wash (40°) inside out on a gentle cycle using liquid detergent.
- Bamboo Cotton: Cold hand or machine wash (30°) inside out on a gentle cycle using liquid detergent.
- Line dry in the shade.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Press with a warm iron, inside out.
- Wash whites, colours and prints separately.
- Do not rub, soak or wring.
- Do not bleach or dry clean.
