Care Guide: Stonewashed Cotton

Cotton is one of our favourite fabrics – especially for sheets!
Our Stonewashed Cotton bedlinen range is soft, lightly textured and has a relaxed, lived-in look that will suit any bedroom. We’ve made it simple to take care of your sheets so they look and feel good for years to come.
Wash before wear
Our classic Stonewashed Cotton range has been prewashed to give it a textured finish, but it’s still important to give your bedlinen a rinse before popping it on your bed. Wash away any dust or irritants that might have settled on your sheets with a cold cycle. Try to get this done in the morning so you can jump straight into bed in the evening.
How and when to wash
To keep the relaxed look and soft feel of your sheets, make sure you wash them in cold water (30° is perfect) with a liquid detergent. Remember to keep your colours and lights separate to make sure your crisp white sheets don’t turn an off-grey - and don’t be tempted to reach for the bleach.
Drying and ironing
Make sure you get your sheets out of the washing machine as quickly as you can and pop them straight outside to line dry in the shade. If you just can’t wait to get into bed, you can put them in the dryer on a low setting. To keep them ultra crisp, use a warm iron while they’re inside out.
Quick Care Guide:
- Wash prior to using.
- Cold hand or machine wash (30°), inside out on a gentle cycle using liquid detergent.
- Line dry in the shade, or tumble dry on low only.
- Press with a warm iron, inside out.
- Wash whites, colours and prints separately.
- Do not rub, soak or wring.
- Do not bleach or dry clean.
