Introducing our new Aboriginal artist collaboration, inspired by sisterhood, family, motherhood and home.
Cungelella Art is a collaborative project between four Kalkadoon sisters; Glenda, Jaunita, Dale and Cheryl. Named after their grandmother, their artwork is inspired by their ancestry and homelands.
Coming together as a family to tell stories through their designs, Cungelella creates a legacy in the image of their Elders that came before, ready to be handed down to the next generation.
Evoking the feeling of coming home, our new collaboration translates their paintings to bedlinen, homewares and servingware.

The Bilabila Artwork
Meaning baby, the Bilabila (pronounced bill-a-bill-a) design is inspired by the sparkling eyes of children, and gathering beneath a Gidgee tree. This gorgeous artwork is printed onto the softest cotton to bring colour to your space. Choose from a quilt cover, sheet set, servingware or nursery.

The Wadjin Artwork
Meaning spinifex, the Wadjin (pronounced wad-jun) design is inspired by the native plants that grow in abundance on the ridges and plains of the sisters’ Kalkadoon home. We’ve translated this richly colourful and contrasting artwork onto our bedlinen, towels, bath mats, cushions and more.
“We feel a responsibility to teach art so that our children know where they come from, what we and our parents have done, and to show them that they can do it too. We like that our kids know their culture.”
The Kalkatungu Artwork
Meaning Kalkadoon country, the Kalkatungu (pronounced kalka-tun-goo) design is inspired by the blooming desert colours of the land. Available on cotton tea towels, linen lampshades, and exclusive framed prints, this artwork is a stand-out from the collection.
Marapurthangkali Artwork
Meaning morning star, the Marapurthangkali (pronounced mara-put-tung-kali) design is inspired by the warmth of mother-love and the golden glow of a dawning day.
